Pokémon Odyssey Cheat Codes
Pokémon Odyssey cheat codes can change items, money, wild encounters, and other parts of the game. Because Pokémon Odyssey is a modified Pokémon FireRed game with custom events, Etrian Variants, and labyrinth mechanics, cheats may not work exactly as they do in the original FireRed version.
Before using any cheat, create a backup of your save file. A code can freeze the game, cause an item problem, interrupt a story event, or damage save progress if it is incompatible with your emulator or game version. The Pokémon Odyssey community also warns that cheats may affect the game in unintended ways.
Important Before Using Cheats
Use cheats carefully and only when necessary. Even a working FireRed code may behave differently in Pokémon Odyssey because the game includes custom maps, encounters, Pokémon data, and events.
Follow these safety tips:
Back Up First
Back up your Pokémon Odyssey save file before adding a cheat.
Match the Code Type
Check whether the code is for CodeBreaker, GameShark, or Action Replay.
One Cheat at a Time
Use one new cheat at a time so you can identify the cause of a problem.
Copy Exactly
Copy every character exactly as written.
Disable When Done
Disable a code after you receive the item, finish the encounter, or complete its purpose.
Avoid Key Moments
Avoid using cheats during story scenes, Captain battles, F.O.E. fights, map changes, or important quests.
Don’t Overwrite Your Save
Do not overwrite your only save immediately after testing an unfamiliar code.
If It Freezes
If the game freezes or behaves strangely, disable all cheats and reload a previous save.

Paste or type the code exactly as shown in the cheat table.
- 6

- 7

Follow the instructions for that code, such as checking your bag, PC storage, Poké Mart, or wild grass.

Common Cheat Problems
The Item Does Not Appear
Some cheats do not place items directly in the bag. Depending on the code, you may need to check the PC, visit a Poké Mart, open the item bag, or take another action listed with the code. Disable the cheat after the item appears.
The Game Freezes
Turn off the code, close the emulator, and reopen Pokémon Odyssey. Load a save made before you added the cheat if the game continues to freeze. Avoid saving over your main file while a cheat is active or after an obvious glitch.
The Wrong Pokémon Appears
Disable the encounter code and any master code as soon as the battle ends. Do not leave wild encounter modifiers active while exploring, completing quests, entering a new stratum, or triggering a story scene.
A Story Event Will Not Continue
Remove all active codes and reload an earlier save if possible. Warp, event, badge, walk-through-walls, and encounter codes can interfere with Odyssey’s custom story triggers and labyrinth events.
Are Cheats Safe in Pokémon Odyssey?
Cheats are not fully safe in Pokémon Odyssey, Cheats can cause glitches, broken events, or save issues. Back up your save, use one code at a time, and disable it after use. Avoid cheats during story progress, F.O.E. battles, and wild encounters.
Pokémon Odyssey Cheat Codes FAQ
Do cheat codes work in Pokémon Odyssey?
Some Pokémon FireRed-style cheats may work, but results can vary by game version, emulator, code type, and the game’s custom content.
Which cheat type should I select?
Use the format listed beside the code. The most common formats are CodeBreaker and GameShark. Do not guess the format, because using the wrong one can prevent the code from working.
Why is my cheat code not working?
Check the code type, code spelling, game version, emulator compatibility, and whether a required master code is active.
Do I need a master code?
Only use a master code when the specific cheat instructions say one is required. Do not leave it enabled after you finish using the related code.
Where do item cheats place the item?
The answer depends on the code. Items may appear in the bag, PC, Poké Mart, or another location described in the code instructions.
Should I disable cheats after using them?
Yes. Turn off a code after you receive an item, finish a wild encounter, or complete its intended use. Leaving codes enabled can increase the chance of glitches.
Can I use wild Pokémon encounter cheats?
You can test them at your own risk, but they should be used with extra caution. Disable the code immediately after the encounter and avoid using it during important story or map events.
